A few scenic photos from Davos, Switzerland. Brian & Laura were there in January for the 2006 annual meeting of the World Economic Forum. Laura didn't feel comfortable taking photographs at the meeting itself, but she did keep a detailed blog.

Cambodia and Sri Lanka 2005
To avoid going to Burning Man, Laura took off to Cambodia and Sri Lanka. Her main objective: to see elephants. Between the working elephants at the Angkor temple complex near Siem Reap, Cambodia, the wild herd in Sri Lanka's Minneriya National Park, and the Pinnawela elephant orphanage located between Colombo and Kandy, she saw plenty.

New Zealand 2004
Brian & Laura spent three weeks in New Zealand, mostly on the North Island, in August 2004. Highlights of the trip included a visit to the "Hobbiton" set near Matamata, slipping in the mud, and taking the Lynx catamaran across Cook Straight to the South Island.

China 2004
After a drunken night in Tokyo in 2003, Laura decided that she wanted to learn to speak Mandarin. Well, it made sense to her. Fourteen months later she went to Beijing, Xi'an, Suzhou, and Shanghai China for two weeks in June 2004 to practice, and discovered that it was both more and less difficult than she imagined it would be.

Tokyo & Mt. Fuji 2003
Sake, cherry blossoms, koi, and the shy Fuji-san. Tokyo was way too much fun to be there for a mere six days.
